Running 8 miles is tough at the best of times, but in the sweltering heat on Saturday 18th April that’s exactly what Riona Murtagh did in the Kepak 8 mile road race in Clonee where she clearly didn’t seem too troubled by the heat and finished a brilliant 4th woman to take a well deserved prize.

Also competing and running extremely well and improving race by race were Maurice Looby and Justin Murtagh who no doubt enjoyed the customary feed of beef burgers that follows this annual race. Athletes have to eat sometime!
