COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course for the "Lakeland 15" will bring athletes from the centre of Tyrrellspass
Village east towards Dublin, where the race turns left (Castlelost Road) for Dalystown in the centre of Rochfortbridge Village,
just after which 4 mile mark is passed. At Dalystown, which is reached just after 7 miles, it turns left onto the N52 for
300 yards before turning right after the National School, for Rahinmore. This section of the race continues through
Clonyhague where the 10 mile mark is passed and turns left beyond the 11 mile mark along the boundary of the New Forest Golf
Club course. This brings the race towards Tyrrellspass emerging onto the Kilbeggan/Tyrrellspass road just after the 12 mile
mark. The half marathon point is reached on the outskirts of the Village before the race proceeds through to the GAA Clubhouse
to complete the 15 mile "Lakeland 15"
