On the eve of the final round of the Mullingar Road League, a number of senior and master athletes from the Club made the short trip to Enfield to compete in the Bob Heffernan 5km Road Race on 26th May.

Running extremely well and leading the men's team to 3rd place was Ben Vaitkavichius, who also picked up an individual prize for 2nd master in his age-category. Ben was supported by Maurice Looby, followed very closely by Aidan Gorry only 1 second behind, then came Liam McGlynn, Justin Murtagh and Kieran Nolan.

In the women's race, Vera McCool was 3rd in her master age-category, followed by Brigid McCabe (1st in her master age-category), and finally Breda Daly made up the team.
