Congratulations to our senior women’s team on their second place finish at the Bohermeen AC "Patrick Bell Memorial" 5km Road Race on Friday evening 19th June. The team was led home by Mary Scully (who also took 1st prize in her master category), who had a particularly good run and showed signs of a great return to form after recent injury. With support from Alwyn Kinane, Eva Ross and Patricia Broderick, the Mullingar women’s team were delighted with their team prize.

Despite a great run of team prizes in recent races, the men’s team, which was led in by Tomas Navickas, followed by Ben Vaitkavichius (3rd in master category), Matt Glennon (2nd in master category), Justin Murtagh, Colm Walsh (1st Novice), Christy Creagh (3rd in master category) and PJ Ballesty, finished out of the team prizes on this occasion but any disappointment was quickly dispelled after the race when all partook of Bohermeen’s customary hospitality of beef burgers, live music and tremendous craic, which was universally enjoyed by all and rounded off the evening very nicely by all accounts.
