Congratulations to Jake Byrne and Shane Fitzsimons on being selected to represent Ireland at the Celtic Games Track and Field International in Carmarthen, Wales on Saturday 1st August.

Jake will be running in the 3,000m under 18 while Shane moves up a year to the 800m u/16. They’ll be competing against the best underage athletes from Scotland, Wales and Ulster, but both are seasoned athletes and relish the opportunity to compete at this level.

Their selection is just reward for their dedication and commitment to athletics and we can expect more and more International vests for these two very talented athletes in the coming years.

Everyone at the Club congratulates them and wishes them well in Wales.
