The only competitor from Ireland taking part at the World Masters Games in Sydney is our own Sean McMullin and he has certainly competed with distinction and has done us all proud. He finished an excellent 7th place in his master age category in the 10km road walk on Wednesday 14th October and bettered this with a 5th place finish in the 5,000m track walk just 3 days later on Saturday 17th, proving yet again that he is a World class master athlete.

Congratulations to Sean on his terrific performances on the World stage and we trust he’ll rest himself with a holiday in Australia before returning home and getting back into training for his next competition.
