Competing in tough weather conditions of wind and squally showers on Sunday 13th June in the second round of the Longford AC Summer Series, this time over 10 miles of a hilly course, Martin Lyons was pleased with his 2nd place finish in an excellent 57:05 to add to his win in the first round over 10km a few weeks ago. Round 2 saw about 50 athletes taking part, which is a good number for a new fixture and shows every indication that this series will grow in popularity with time.

The third and final round, a half marathon, will take place on 18^th July.
