Victoria Harris made it look very easy with a convincing win in the girls 100m under
15 at the AAI National “B” Juvenile T&F Championships in Tullamore on Sunday
1st August, which was the last Championship track and field event for 2010. Leading from the gun after a great start,
she increased her lead with every stride to cross the line well clear of the opposition to round off her track season with
a well deserved win.
In the boys 600m u/13, Declan Brady
paced himself perfectly and was in a great position with 250m to go but just couldn’t find the extra edge to take the
lead and despite a terrific battle all the way to the finish he had to settle for silver but was delighted
with his medal. He went straight from the 600m medal presentation to the long jump where he added to his
medal haul with another silver medal.
Also competing in Tullamore was Hilary Harris where despite running very well in the girls 600m u/13 she
finished out of the medal places.
