Strong
head winds didn’t stop Kevin Duggan competing with distinction in the
Leinster under 23 Championships on Sunday 25th May in Greystones, Co. Wicklow where he was only narrowly beaten in the
200m but was a clear winner of the 100m later in the afternoon. Though denied a sprint double, Kevin was still very pleased
with his performances overall at this point in the season.
Warren Walsh
competed in the junior 400m, despite being under-age again for 3 more years. He ran an excellent race and was brave enough
to take the lead at 200m despite being quite new to the event and still learning it. He was caught on the home straight and
the strong wind didn’t help him at all but he held on for a well deserved second place in a personal best time. Warren
shows promise at the 400m and his recent hard work in training is clearly starting to pay dividends.
