Congratulations from everyone at the Club

Important rule changes

u/16 and upwards : no false starts allowed
u/12 to u/15 : one false start allowed per race
u/9 to u/11 : one false start per athlete allowed

Applies to ALL starts, not just sprints

Starting blocks must be used in sprints from u/13 & up
(won't apply for Leinster Indoors 2010, but will for National 2010)

The profile of our Club has never been higher, thanks to the exploits of Martin Fagan as one of the top distance runners in the World, Mark Christie showing brilliant form on the road and over cross country, Damien Bateman making a huge breakthrough in America, and Jake Byrne competing at the World Youths last summer. These athletes, plus the performances of our Juvenile, Senior and Master athletes at Leinster cross country shows the impact Mullingar athletes are making.

AAI Insurance Information

In order to help members understand how the AAI insurance cover operates, the AAI has prepared the following two documents (links to the AAI website):

1. A list of Frequently Asked Questions, which give a quick overview of the answers to the questions most commonly asked of the insurance broker

2. A more comprehensive document, which details the level of insurance cover by membership category (Clubs, County Boards etc)

International Roll of Honour

In recognition of the 69 members (so far) of Mullingar Harriers AC that have represented Ireland, we've developed an International Roll of Honour


The International Roll of Honour gives the names of the athletes and the year they gained their first International vest and the 
list is reproduced on a marble wall plaque erected in the Clubhouse

Address of Recognition by Westmeath County Council
Westmeath County Council presented Mullingar Harriers with an Address of Recognition in February 2000 as a token of the esteem in which the Club is held
